An intensive 7-day course “TOPFAS System Administrator” has started at Rakovski National Defence College, with the participation of officers and technical experts from the Bulgarian Armed Forces. The training is dedicated to TOPFAS (Tools for Operations Planning Functional Area Services) – NATO’s primary tool for operational planning and the management of joint operations.
During the opening ceremony, Colonel Anton Bankov, PhD – Deputy Commandant for Administration and Logistics – emphasized the importance of the course as part of the efforts to enhance the expertise and operational readiness of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
The training is conducted by a mobile team of lecturers from the NATO Communications and Information Academy (NCI Academy), with a focus on developing practical skills and technical competence. The investment in preparing new functional administrators ensures that Bulgaria continues to operate in sync with other NATO armed forces, applying modern information systems and standardized procedures.
