Participation in an International Conference

Senior Lecturer Tanya Necheva from the Department of Language Training took part in the international conference “Language – Security – Technologies” held at the University of Defence in Brno, Czech Republic, where she presented a paper titled “On the Balance between Security Restrictions and Foreign Language Training.” Her participation was funded through the Erasmus+ programme.

The conference was organized as part of the International Week of the university’s Language Centre and brought together more than 70 lecturers and cadets from higher military education institutions across the European Union. The aims of the conference included expanding educational opportunities in the context of today’s dynamic security environment and technological development, as well as sharing best practices and exchanging professional experience.

The topics in the conference programme focused on adapting language skills to the evolving security challenges and integrating technological innovations such as artificial intelligence, machine learning models, and mobile tools in language training.
