Senior Professor Dr. Anelia Hristova and Senior Professor Krasimira Koleva from the Distance Learning, Language Training and Qualification Department took part in the international workshop “Tactical Teaching: Knowledge Sharing Workshops 2025” hosted by the Military University of Technology in Warsaw, Poland.
The event brought together 23 English language instructors and professores in various military disciplines from Bulgaria, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Romania, and the Czech Republic. Some of the participants delivered presentations, while others conducted practical sessions in the form of workshops.
Bulgaria was represented by two professores from Rakovski National Defence College. Senior Professor Koleva delivered a presentation entitled “Teaching for Achievement and Testing for Proficiency: How to Bridge the Gap”, while Senior Professor Hristova conducted a practical workshop on “Peacekeeping”.
Associate Professor Valentina Georgieva, PhD carried out teaching sessions with cadets at the General Military Academy (Academia General Militar) in Zaragoza, Spain. The cadets specialized in different military fields such as infantry, logistics, aviation, and engineering. During her lectures, Assoc. Prof. Georgieva presented the online platform helpsec.eu for learning Military English, developed within an international Erasmus+ project.
She also had the opportunity to meet with the Head of Academic Affairs and the institutional Erasmus+ coordinator of the host academy to discuss the forthcoming exchange of Spanish cadets and their participation in the international semester at Rakovski National Defence College. In addition, she exchanged best practices and teaching experience with her colleagues, instructors of English language.
