Annual Scientific Conference of Rakovski National Defence College:

Enhancing National Resilience: Advances, Challenges and the Way Forward

November 05 – 06 2025
Sofia

About the Conference

The Rakovski National Defence College was founded in 1912 by Decree № 26 of Tzar Ferdinand I and an Act of the National Assembly.
During its long history the oldest higher military educational institution in Bulgaria, whose patron is the Bulgarian revolutionary, scholar and public figure Georgi Stoykov Rakovski, has established itself as a natural environment for the development of education and scientific research in the area of warfare and national security.
A key aspect of the RNDC activities is the regular organization of scientific research forums featuring both Bulgarian and international participants. In recent years, there has been a noticeable trend of increasing the scientific impact of annual conferences.
The theme of the upcoming annual scientific forum of RNDC is:

„Enhancing National Resilience: Advances, Challenges and the Way Forward“.

This topic is particularly relevant in the context of the war in Ukraine, NATO’s decision to strengthen resilience, and the European Union leaders’ resolution to develop defence capabilities.

The Annual Scientific Conference organized and hosted by RNDC will be held on November 5–6, 2025, in Sofia.

The Conference is indexed in the Central and Eastern European Library (CEEOL) and National Centre for Information and Documentation in Bulgaria (NACID).
