The leadership of Rakovski National Defence College has the pleasure to invite you to take part in person and/or оnline in Microsoft Teams platform in the annual scientific conference with international participation, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the College.

Theme: 110 Years of Tradition, Quality, Prestige

Time of the event: 12-13 April 2022

Goal of the conference: to provide opportunities to discuss research achievements in the sphere of national and coalition security, defence and military affairs, to exchange views and share accumulated research and practical experience, academic staff development, as well as to promote international security and defence cooperation.

The papers from the conference will be published in Conference Proceedings dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Rakovski National Defence College.

PAPER REQUIREMENTS

The volume of the papers should not exceed 15 pages A4 (30 lines, 60 characters per line). Papers should be in digital format, Microsoft Word 97 – 2003 and duplicated in PDF format.

The following should be in both English and Bulgarian:

Capitalised Title of the paper, academic position, academic degree and names of the authors (Center, Bold, Font Size 12 pt), blank line, short summary up to 5 lines and up to 10 keywords (Times New Roman, Italic, Font Size 10 pt), blank line.

Main body of the paper: Times New Roman 12 pt/1,5 lines. Page margins: top, bottom, left and right –2,5 cm.

Illustrations in the papers must be in high resolution format (over 500 kb) and, besides in the WORD file, must be sent separately in JPEG or TIF format.

At the end of the paper there has to be author’s contact information (organisation, phone, e-mail), as well as a signed form that the paper does not contain classified information.

Figures and tables should be close to their first mentioning. Mathematical formulas should be numbered on the right of the page with Arabic numerals in parentheses.

The bibliographic citation of the used sources should be with indexes (Arabic numerals) in the text, and their description should be at the end of the article (Endnotes) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 690:2011 and the Official Dictionary of Standard Bulgarian Spelling (BAS, 2012). A formatted paper template can be downloaded from the conference page.

THE PAPERS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE PROCEEDINGS IN THE FORM IN WHICH THEY ARE PRESENTED.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS

• The maximum number of papers that an author can contribute (individually or in co-authorship) is two
• The final program of the conference will be provided to the participants upon registration
• The deadline for full paper submission is 14 March 2022 by e-mail: 110godini@rndc.bg
• The fee for participation in the scientific conference for external participants is EUR 50 with VAT. Co-authors of the papers pay the fee in full. For military servicemen and employees of the Ministry of Defence, Bulgarian Army and structures subordinated to the Minister of Defence, participation in the international conference is free of charge.
• The fee for participation shall be transferred to the bank account of RNDC prior to 14 March 2022
