Rakovski National Defence College marked the 158th anniversary of the glourious death of Georgi Rakovski with the presentation of a new book.
We are grateful to share moments from last night’s presentation of the historian Nikola Karaivanov’s book “Georgi Rakovski and the Bulgarians from Bessarabia, Odessa, and Banat.”
The most profound contemporary researcher of Rakovski’s life and work filled the solemn “Ceremonial Hall” with meaning through an engaging and deeply human conversation.
The audience had the opportunity to learn little-known facts about Rakovski’s activities among the historical Bulgarian diaspora, confirming his role as one of the first conscious statesmen of Bulgaria.
Among those listening intently in the hall was Nikola Karaivanov’s granddaughter, Nikol. We are confident that one day she will return to the “Ceremonial Hall” of Rakovski National Defence College to share her own patriotic story about the values that unite and preserve us as a nation.
